QE is working to achieve the Investor in Careers Award, which is a quality standard for the management of careers education and guidance in schools and FE colleges, and is now used in a number of areas across the country.
Assessment is based on standards required by legislation or nationally produced guidelines on good practice. The award is in 3 stages each carrying certification.
In a complex and changing world, all young people need access to good quality, comprehensive and impartial Information, Advice and Guidance to help them make the right learning and career choices so that they can succeed in work.
Achieving IiC status and the process will be an enormous help in the continuous development of standards of careers guidance within the school.

School Fete - 4th July - 12-3pm
We urgently need volunteers to provide an hour or two of their time in helping to man stalls and serve teas/coffees. Successful Wine & Wisdom Evening
After a very successful Wine & Wisdom evening the PTFA has given £150 to the school to purchase urgently needed cricket pads. We have also donated the sum of £250 towards the purchase of a greenhouse by the Science department to add to the school's eco ethos.
STEM Club - Goblin Racing
Since February, Year 7 and 8 members of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Club have been building and testing a battery powered racing car.
